KABOOM!!

Well, it was bound to happen.

I thought I was smart by adjusting the refresh freq. on my monitory from 60Hz to 75Hz.  That worked for about 30 or so seconds.  It actually made the image better...the lines mostly disappeared and everything looked sharper.  Except the actual image seemed to shrink a bit.

And then it got really fuzzy and then fine again.

Here is the best part: after this, the image actually pin-cushioned and slowly shrank on the horizontal until it got to a thin sliver.  At the same time, smoke started pouring out of the top and the monitor shut off.  Dead.

I phoned LG, and got the lovely message "All our circuits are busy.  Please try again later."  Except I get that after going through the procedures to reach the right area.  What they really should have said is "Our business hours are...." and that should have been right at the beginning.

I could be an ass when I actually do get ahold of them, but I don't know if its really worth the trouble.
